Job Description This role is based in our Cleveland, OH office.
As a Billing Specialist, you will generate invoices and adjust billing where necessary, and in accordance with department policies. You will audit billing information to ensure accuracy and resolve billing disputes, working in concert with other departments to achieve objectives. You will ensure that all duties are carried out within set time limits, while providing excellent service to all Informa customers and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete monthly process billing within established guidelines while adhering to the department’s policies, processes, and goals.
- Verify and compare ad space against the original customers’ documentation/insertion order/purchase orders.
- Audit sales contracts and insertion orders to ensure accuracy of terms and rates.
- Adhere to general accounting practices and perform reconciliation functions where applicable.
- Adjust billing figures according to updated information/contracts.
- Research and resolve customer inquiries regarding billing issues.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve billing conflicts, assisting and supporting these departments where applicable.
- Maintain supporting documentation for annual audits.
- Generate test data for system upgrades.
- Perform other duties or ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Microsoft Office:
Demonstrate competence in navigating the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and One Note. We value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and grow in these applications. - Accounting
Experience:
Experience in billing is advantageous, but we also value potential and eagerness to develop in this area. - Understanding of Accounting Principles:
Show an understanding of fundamental accounting principles, whether acquired through formal education or practical experience. We re interested in how you apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios. - Problem-Solving

- The pay range for this position is $19-21 / hour depending on experience.
