Responsible for managing client assignments and projects, and delivering a high quality service. This includes coaching, advising, and supporting team members in meeting clients and self-development expectations.
Responsible for client relationships within their area of expertise and for clients assigned to them.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Prepare/review various tax returns and year-end work papers - individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and not for profit tax returns and make recommendations and decisions to address client needs.
* Ensure the accuracy of tax returns including the documentation supporting tax positions.
* Conduct tax research and provide effective solutions for management.
* Identify significant tax issues including planning opportunities, deficiencies, state and local filings, and other matters.
* Assist with tax agency notices and requests.
* Supervise and provide assistance to staff.
* Provide advice that enables the client to increase profitability.
* Maintain and develop business relationships with our clients.
* Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
* Sufficient knowledge of tax compliance based on level of experience.
* CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
* Minimum of two years related experience.
Qualifications/
Skills Required:
* CCH Axcess experience preferred.
* State and local tax experience (Income/Franchise, Sales, Use, Personal Property) a plus
* Strong professional skills that inspire confidence and desire to be a team player who supports the vision and goals of the firm.
* Work with minimal supervision.
* Strong work ethic, organization and analytical and interpersonal skills.
* Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, deadlines, and commitments.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000.
