About the Role:

Our client, a well-established bank in Cleveland, is seeking a Bookkeeper with both bank teller and bookkeeping experience for a permanent, direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone looking for a consistent schedule, who thrives in a detailed, transaction-focused environment.

Schedule:

+ Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

+ Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

+ Thursday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

+ Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

+ Saturday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

This is an in office position.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

+ Oversee and record daily transactions

+ Submit and manage payroll accounts, working closely with the President

+ Reconcile payroll accounts to ensure accuracy

+ Process recurring monthly bookkeeping and banking activities

+ Monitor and track investment deadlines and related transactions

+ Ensure compliance with relevant banking and accounting standards

+ Assist with general bookkeeping duties as needed

Qualifications:

+ Previous experience as a bank teller and bookkeeper (combined background is preferred)

+ Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable and payroll processes

+ Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

+ Ability to work independently and handle recurring monthly functions

+

Experience with accounting software and Excel

+ Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet with confidential financial information

Requirements

- Proven experience in bookkeeping with a solid understanding of accounting principles.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Ability to reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.

- Bank Telling/Banking accounting experience.

- Familiarity with payroll submission and reconciliation processes.

- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.

- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
