This is a Direct Hire Opportunity - onsite in Oakwood Village, OH.

Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a leading Company located in the Oakwood Village, OH surrounding area.

Pay: $75,000 - $85,000

This is a vital role responsible for managing all accounting functions of the organization, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with applicable laws and standards. This role oversees the full bookkeeping cycle, from daily transactions to month‑end and year‑end closings, working closely with management, external accountants, and vendors. The ideal candidate will be passionate about accounting with the ability to fit seamlessly within a close‑knit, on‑site office environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage all day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain and reconcile subsidiary accounts, including fixed assets, inventory, and prepaid expenses.
  • Process payroll or coordinate with payroll service providers, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform month‑end and year‑end closing activities (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations).
  • Generate financial reports and analysis.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Prepare sales tax, business tax, or other required filings.
  • Liaise with external CPA or auditors, providing documentation and support for tax returns and audits.
  • Develop and document accounting policies and procedures.
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the accounting process.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Sage/Timberline).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem‑solving ability.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g. Sage).
  • Experience working in a small to mid‑size business environment.
  • High level of integrity and professional ethics.
