General Laborer

F. L. Crane & Sons, Inc. an employee-owned specialty contractor with over 75 years of experience covering a wide range of finishing, metal panel systems and custom crating. We are based out of Fulton MS and operate 14 divisions throughout the southeastern part of the US. • Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
• Assist welders, carpenters, painters or other tradespeople on-site
• Handle and transport materials and equipment
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
• Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding)
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
• Use power tools and machinery when needed

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• One year experience in construction (preferred)

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 100 pounds etc.)
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety rules
• Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary
