Student Assistant, Campus Store Operations

This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for a current student to gain valuable work experience while contributing to the success of Lake Sumter State College. The Student Assistant will provide essential support, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure efficient operation of departmental activities. This is a part-time position with an expected commitment of no more than 20-25 hours per week.

The schedule will be flexible to accommodate the student's academic and other responsibilities. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating.

Students are not allowed to work during class meeting times.

* Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.

* Provide a friendly atmosphere by greeting customers and vendors, focusing on their positive experience throughout their visit

* Assist with maintaining accurate inventory through routine cycle counts

* Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space within the store

* Perform other duties as assigned

* Strong Organizational and multitasking skills

* Excellent Verbal and written communication skills

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
