Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Weed Ecology and Management Description of DutiesThe Postdoctoral Research Fellow will conduct independent and collaborative research in weed ecology and integrated weed management under the supervision of Dr. Fernando H. Oreja at Clemson University. Primary duties include designing and implementing greenhouse and field experiments, collecting and analyzing biological and agronomic data, managing experimental plots, and maintaining accurate research records. The postdoctoral scholar will contribute to manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed journals, assist with grant-supported research activities, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and present research findings at scientific conferences.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating laboratory and greenhouse activities and supporting outreach and extension-related research efforts as appropriate.
Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in Weed Science, Agronomy, Plant Science, Ecology, or a closely related discipline by the start date. Applicants must demonstrate experience with experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing. Strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication skills are required.
Preferred qualifications include experience in weed ecology, herbicide resistance research, seed biology, cropping systems research, greenhouse and field experimentation, and proficiency with statistical software such as R or SAS.
Postdoctoral Research Position (Full-Time)
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
