JOB SUMMARY:

Performs routine institutional custodial duties as a part of a team of skilled custodians. Assists in maintaining inventory and ordering and distributing supplies in assigned area. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Housekeeping (60%): Performs housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, polishing floors, floor care (waxing, buffing, stripping), and use of buffing machine and carpet extractor.
• Inspecting and Data Management (20%): Accompanies supervisor during building inspections, discusses results, follows safety guidance, assists in testing new cleaning products, and updates records.
• Inventory and Equipment Maintenance (10%): Assists in inventory management, ordering and distributing supplies, requests new products, inspects restrooms.
• Training and On‑Call Support (10%): Completes on‑job training and required university trainings, responds to emergency, weekend, and snow callbacks.

• Experience:
  
  custodial, housekeeping or pest control work directly related to area, 1+ years.

• Education:
  
  High School or Equivalent;
  Certification in Custodial Services.
• Licenses:
  Driver's License Class D normal < 26,000.
• Work Experience:
  
  3+ years.

• Job Knowledge: Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory duties.
• Budgetary Responsibilities: No budget responsibilities.
