Job Summary

Manage complex operations and logistics for the Peer Learning Support Programs unit. Support the unit Director with training and development initiatives as well as data collection and assessment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

40% - Essential - UNIT OPERATIONS SUPPORT: Manages the regular review, updating, and expansion of the PLSP handbook. Designs and facilitates a regular staff activity to inform the handbook update process. Coordinates unit memorial and awards processes in collaboration with the Outreach and Promotion Manager and Director, including soliciting nominations, forming and facilitating selection committees, notifying recipients, and updating plaques and websites.

Serves as the unit lead for peer leader recruitment and hiring logistics, coordinating recruitment events, developing recruitment assets, and applicant communication and screening in collaboration with the Program Operations Coordinator. Follows up on missing application documents, conducts grade verification, and manages hiring documentation. Coordinates usage of university resources for the student leadership team hiring process. Supports PAL and Tutoring session scheduling, collecting peer leader availability, drafting a service schedule for Program Manager review, and updating websites with schedule information.

Monitors supply needs and coordinates procurement. Reviews and updates information on ASC webpages and makes updates to PLSP Canvas pages.

35% - Essential - STUDENT EMPLOYEE TRAINING LOGISTICS SUPPORT: Manages the implementation and logistics for unit-level student employee training initiatives, including university employee‑assigned trainings, the CU1110 peer leader training course, and unit‑level development experiences such as leadership development series and practicum. Coordinates with campus partners to assign, schedule, and/or facilitate experiences that align with CRLA standards. Conducts outreach to peer leaders regarding requirements and opportunities and tracks attendance and completion of training and development initiatives.

Assists with the CU1110 peer leader training course, developing and overseeing a unit grading plan, documenting class absences in Canvas, and grading assignments. Provides support to Program Managers in preparation for onboarding and orientation training at the start of each semester, gathering and branding documents used in training events/activities. Supports other unit training efforts as needed, such as Tutoring Program CRLA recertification.

25% - Essential - DATA AND ASSESSMENT SUPPORT: Maintains spreadsheets for evaluating PLSP resource usage and needs, including peer leader wages, average hours worked, historical service utilization, and anticipated peer leader graduation/attrition. Coordinates with Program Operations Coordinator and ASC Data and Assessment Manager to obtain information from university systems. Discusses current trends with Unit Director and Program Managers to inform activities such as spending, peer leader hiring, and resource requests.

Supports the unit Director with assessment activities, including collection, analysis, and reporting of student employee and participant data.

Minimum Requirements

Education – Bachelor’s Degree and work experience directly related to the area of employment.

Preferred Requirements

Experience working in an administrative/operational position in a college or university setting.

Responsibilities

Budgetary Responsibilities

No budget responsibilities for the department’s budget.

Physical Requirements

Use hands or feet to operate or handle machinery, equipment, etc. Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself.

Work Schedule

Standard hours: 37.5 hours per week.

Compensation Information

Expected salary range: $50,000.00 – $58,000.00. Salary depends on experience, knowledge, skills, and performance in accordance with Clemson’s compensation guidelines.
