DescriptionDrs. Thayer, Silva, Vassalos, and Smith at Clemson University are seeking applications for a post-doctoral fellow in agriculture and applied economics with experience conducting regional analysis. The candidate should have a strong background conducting general equilibrium analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of researchers on the economics of climate-smart practices for agricultural commodities and the regional impacts of production decisions.
Experience and working knowledge of conservation practices and/or adoption behavior is a plus. Candidates should have experience building and running price endogenous models. Knowledge of input-output modeling would strengthen the candidate’s application. The anticipated start date is June 1, 2025; however, the candidate must be hired before August 15th, 2025. The appointment will be for one year with options for yearly renewal for up to three years based on performance.
Minimum Requirements:
- A PhD degree in agricultural economics, economics, or closely related field
- Experience designing, conducting, and analyzing surveys and discrete choice experiments
