Under the general direction of the Business Officer and within a team‑centered environment, serve as a resource for the College of Science faculty and staff by providing accounts payable and receivable support to assigned units.
JOB DUTIES- 40% Essential – Perform daily accounting duties including Concur (P‑card liaison & travel), Buy Ways (requisitioner/invoice handler), and CU Foundation (CUF) vouchers in a prompt and accurate manner that is in compliance with Federal, State, and CU or CUF policies and procedures. Process reimbursements to visitors for travel or other reimbursable expenditures.
- 30% Essential – Handle external web invoicing and processing deposits in a prompt and accurate manner. Prepare transmittals for deposits into CUF projects.
- 20% Essential – Provide general inquiry assistance to employees on the use of the Concur and/or Buy Ways system as well as policies and procedures. Refer detailed budget information or analysis inquiries to the appropriate Financial Analyst or Post‑Awards Accountant.
- 10% Essential – Maintain audit‑compliant expenditure and revenue/receipt files for review, reconciliation, or audit. Stay abreast of policies and procedures related to the assigned duties through the CU policies and procedures web pages, the Procurement website, email alerts received on changes, online or in‑person training, and updates or guidance provided by the college business office or the college post‑awards office.

Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures with the ability to apply them in varied situations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNo Supervisory Duties – Not responsible for supervising employees.
Budgetary ResponsibilitiesNo Budget Responsibilities – No fiscal responsibility for the department’s budget.

Anticipated Salary Range: $45,300.00 – $52,147.00
Salary is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s previous experience, knowledge, skills, and performance in accordance with Clemson’s compensation guidelines.
Essential Personnel LevelNormal Operations – Required to follow emergency facility closure directives and are not normally expected to work on‑site during emergency situations.
