Our client is a privately‑owned, family‑run freight forwarding group with a strong reputation within the logistics industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Customs Coordinator to join the team in Bradford. This position will focus on managing a high volume of customs clearances across import and export shipments, ensuring all declarations are completed accurately and in line with current HMRC regulations.

The role will primarily involve working with the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) and requires someone who is confident handling customs entries in a fast‑paced freight forwarding environment.

• Complete high volumes of import and export customs declarations using CDS
• Ensure all entries are compliant with the latest HMRC customs regulations and policies
• Liaise with customers, internal operations teams, and customs authorities to resolve queries
• Check commercial documentation to ensure accurate customs entries
• Classify goods correctly using commodity codes and apply the correct procedures
• Ensure accurate application of Incoterms and understand their impact on customs declarations
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with customs requirements

• Essential experience using CDS (Customs Declaration Service)
• Strong knowledge of current HMRC customs procedures and regulations
• Experience completing high volumes of customs entries within a freight forwarding or logistics environment
• Solid understanding of Incoterms and how they apply to import/export declarations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced operational environment
