United Ag & Turf is a John Deere Dealership with multiple locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico. As a small engine technician you will perform repairs and maintenance on turf equipment, ATV/UTVs and other small engine equipment. You will work under general direction or guidance from the Service Manager.

• Perform repairs and maintenance on small engine equipment.
• Operate and maintain the vehicles, tools and equipment required for the position.
• Maintain a clean work area and work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations required for job assignments.
• Complete all required reports and forms for job assignments.
• Account for all time and materials used in performing assigned duties.
• Participate in service training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.

This position requires minimal physical demands necessary for its essential functions: talking and hearing; active work that includes standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to assemble machinery components and follow manufacturer’s pre‑delivery instructions.
• Ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre‑delivery and set‑up processes.
• Fundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power‑transmission, air‑conditioning, and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by United Ag & Turf.

• Forklift certification.

• Employee must provide their own tools necessary to complete assigned jobs.
