Role OverviewAs a Fitter/Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in our operations, assembling and fitting structural, plate, and mechanical materials into various assemblies. You’ll work closely with the Shop Superintendent and other team members to ensure high‑quality production.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and fit structural forms such as frames, bridge parts, beams, and columns.
- Read and interpret blueprints to plan fitting operations.
- Use fitter skills to layout and fit detail parts accurately.
- Verify the accuracy of fit‑ups before inspection.
- Experience:
Extensive experience in fitting and fabricating is essential. - Education:
High school diploma or GED, plus 12 months of training or equivalent experience. - Skills:
Proficiency in reading shop drawings, high motivation, and the ability to work independently. - Certifications:
Current welding and OSHA certifications are required.
