About This RoleWe are a residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical company operating across the United States and we are seeking a plumbing installer who specializes in residential settings. The role involves planning and designing plumbing layouts from blueprints, installing pipes, fixtures and appliances, ensuring proper connections to water supplies and sewage systems, testing for leaks, and troubleshooting any issues to maintain reliable water and waste management.
Local building codes and regulations must be adhered to throughout the process.
- Assemble, position, and seal valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.
- Operate equipment such as mini excavators and trenchers to facilitate installation.
- Discuss solutions with customers to address their plumbing needs and preferences.
- Create plumbing layouts based on blueprints and architectural plans.
- Install plumbing components including faucets, toilets, sinks, showers, and water heaters.
- Ensure proper connections to existing water supplies and sewage systems.
- Check installed systems for leaks and verify proper function.
- Adhere to local building codes and regulations.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during or after installation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Proven experience in plumbing, preferably residential projects.
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
- Demonstrated work ethic and commitment to high‑quality results.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional interaction with all organizational levels.
- Flexibility and creativity in problem‑solving as a team member.
- Lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Climb ladders, access attics, navigate tight spaces, drive, enter crawlspaces, push, carry, pull, use hand tools, and perform fine detail work.
- Drive as required.
- Work indoors and outdoors, including attics and crawlspaces.
- Stand, walk, sit, speak, and hear (both in person and by telephone).
- Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
- Exposed to extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice, or snow.
