Position Summary

The Store Manager at Fit2

Run is the owner of the business at the store level—responsible for sales performance, team leadership, customer experience, operational excellence, and community engagement. This role blends hands‑on selling, people leadership, and business management, ensuring the store delivers an unforgettable customer experience while developing and retaining top retail talent. The Store Manager is accountable for results, culture, compliance, and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead from the front by actively selling on the floor during peak hours.
  • Deliver Fit2

    Run’s signature gait analysis, fitting experience, and product education.
  • Coach associates in consultative selling, conversion, and average transaction value.
  • Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, service behaviors, and store presentation.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating when appropriate.
Success Metrics
  • Sales vs. budget
  • Conversion rate
  • Average transaction value (ATV)
  • Customer satisfaction feedback and reviews
People Leadership, Recruiting & Development (25%)
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train high‑performing retail talent.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to support business demands.
  • Develop Assistant Managers and high‑potential associates for internal promotion.
  • Conduct regular coaching, feedback, and performance check‑ins.
  • Drive employee engagement through recognition, communication, and involvement.
  • Partner with HR on performance management, corrective action, and development plans.
  • Employee Retention Rate:
    Target ≥ company average
  • Internal Promotion Readiness:
    Bench strength identified at all times
  • Training Completion: 100% compliance with required programs
Administrative & Reporting (5%)
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time, including incident reports and documentation.
  • Maintain organized, confidential employee records.
  • Communicate effectively with District Managers, HR, and corporate partners.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
Scheduling & Labor Management (5%)
  • Own the creation, posting, and maintenance of store schedules.
  • Ensure labor aligns with traffic, sales trends, and budget expectations.
  • Adjust schedules proactively to address callouts, coverage gaps, and business needs.
  • Ensure all schedule changes are approved and properly documented.
  • Prevent timecard errors and ensure wage‑and‑hour compliance.
Inventory Management & Merchandising (5%)
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Execute visual merchandising standards and product flow.
  • Monitor shrink, investigate variances, and take corrective action.
  • Ensure product availability aligns with customer demand and sales trends.
  • Partner with corporate teams on inventory initiatives and product launches.
Community Engagement & Run Club Leadership (5%)
  • Actively support and/or lead the store’s Run Club and community events.
  • Build relationships with local runners, vendors, coaches, and community partners.
  • Represent Fit2

    Run at local races, expos, and events as needed.
  • Drive community engagement that builds brand loyalty and store traffic.
  • Run Club participation and consistency (attending a minimum of 80% of events)
