Retail Sales Manager
Location: 23676 US Hwy 19 North
Position Type: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Training Wage: $18/hr – $22/hr for three months
Post‑Training Wage: $14/hr base + uncapped commission + % of store sales
Responsibilities- Lead sales growth and profitability under the Store Manager’s direction.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) when the Store Manager is absent.
- Own the customer resolution process for customers and the sales team.
- Provide exceptional customer care and model a positive attitude toward our furniture assortment and services.
- Recruit, train, and coach Sales Associates and Store Support Associates.
- Schedule and administer training for new Sales Associates.
- Partner with the Store Manager to establish and communicate critical metrics (sales, visual, operations, safety, loss prevention, inventory, HR, payroll/scheduling, training).
- Collaborate with Visual and Warehouse Managers to support weekly merchandising, customer delivery/pick‑up, and bookkeeping.
- Conduct quarterly SMART goal sessions and monthly progress discussions for Sales Associates.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Proven sales success, team‑building skills, and excellence in customer service.
- Excellent communication skills and professional sales presentation.
- Ability to read product and transaction information.
- Availability to work a combination of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment background check.
- Capacity to stand and walk most of the day.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Experience in commission‑based, performance‑based sales environments.
- Passion for interior design.
- Management experience in sales, retail, customer service, or interior design/consulting.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
