As a Field Merchandiser, you’ll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, build relationships with retailers, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You’ll collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally, you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting pay will be $14.00 to $16.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours are between 8–10 hours.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role consists of three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you’ll restock, organize, and monitor inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. You’ll use technology for communication, reporting, and surveys, and interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.
- Holiday support: During holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours, sometimes on the holiday itself.
- Department resets: You may be part of a team that installs and relocates Hallmark fixtures, rebuilds card sections, and performs remodel assignments typically notified two weeks in advance. This can include evenings and weekends.
- Team collaboration: You’re part of a network of merchandisers who support each other as needed within their territories.
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will kneel, squat, walk, and stand regularly, and may climb stairs and ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficiency with a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to assigned stores as scheduled.
