Bay Care's staffing resource office is currently in search of experienced ER nurses who are passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community.

• Positions details
  - Full-Time Core Float Pool ER for regions 1 & 3.
• Facility: Bay Care Health System, Staffing Resource Office-HSS
• Location: Region 1 includes Morton Plant, Mease Dunedin, Mease Countryside, Morton Plant Northbay and St Anthony's hospitals. Region 3 includes Bartow Regional MC, South Florida Baptist & Winter Haven Hospitals.
• Status: Full Time-Non-Exempt
• Shift: 6:45PM - 7:15AM
• Every 3rd Friday and Saturday night, two Sundays in 6-week schedule. Holiday bundle requirement
• On Call: No
• Always in person
• Float Pay differential

The Registered Nurse – ER responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Care for patients throughout their recovery in critical care.
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients.
• Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient.
• Professional accountability and development.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 2-year experience of ER in a hospital setting
• Strongly prefers 4-years ER RN experience
• BLS certification American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association
