Bay Care is a leading not-for-profit academic health care system providing comprehensive services across 16 hospitals, including a children’s hospital, and numerous other facilities in the Tampa Bay and central Florida regions. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Director of Development based in Clearwater, FL. The Director of Development will lead and manage the organization's overall fundraising strategy, oversee planned and annual giving campaigns, create and nurture donor relationships, and manage philanthropic initiatives. Responsibilities include budgeting for fundraising efforts, overseeing fundraising events, and collaborating with teams to develop innovative strategies to secure funding for Bay Care's healthcare services and programs.
Qualifications- Demonstrated expertise in Planned Giving and Annual Giving initiatives
- Experience in Philanthropy and Fundraising, with a proven track record of achieving financial targets
- Strong skills in Budgeting and financial planning for development activities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strategic thinking and the ability to develop innovative fundraising plans
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field
- Experience leading development teams, preferably in the healthcare or nonprofit sector
- Familiarity with donor CRM software and relevant fundraising tools is a plus
- Knowledge of healthcare systems or previous experience in healthcare-focused fundraising is a strong advantage
