Compounding Lead, 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm

A Compounding Shift Lead is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the shift. The lead exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS(Environmental Management System) requirements. As a lead you may operate compounding machines to produce products which conform to part print. Make sure that products meet all quality specifications and are made according to the latest procedures and standards.

Set up compounding equipment to produce parts to specification.

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. 1-2 years of manufacturing/supervision experience. Efficient and willingness to perform required work with good attendance and attitude. Understand SOP''s relating to the department activities. Good analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Must be a team player. Effective communication skills essential - both written and verbal. Must be able to properly fill out time reporting and work order documentation.

• Monitors performance and achieves objectives related to safety, quality, environmental efficacy, timelines and cost effectiveness of work within the shift(s).
• Provide leadership, direction, and scheduling to members of shift.
• Ensure employees meet standards for production and safety.
• Manage and utilize all available resources to achieve production and productivity goals.
• Understand and consistently enforces company policies and practices.
• Identify opportunities for training and development of employees.
• Drive continuous improvement and document change

Requires walking, primarily on a level surface throughout the day. May need to climb stairs/steps periodically. May need to stoop or kneel and reach above shoulder heights, below the waist. Lifting as required with proper lifting techniques up to 50 pounds on occasion.

This position is in a clean room environment where the use of personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes are mandated. Noise levels and temperatures may vary due to areas accessed. There is some exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals such as alcohol.
