We are currently seeking an a high-impact Senior Quality Engineer to join our dynamic finance team in a growing aerospace company located in beautiful Clearwater, FL.team

Perform simple to complex inspections of mechanical parts, electronic assemblies, and instruments. Use a variety of precision measuring equipment, auto/semi-automatic equipment, and fixtures. Documents results and maintain current product configuration specifications. Work with production associates, supervisors, design engineers, manufacturing engineers and quality engineers in real-time communication of defects, containment and root cause and corrective actions to address failures identified.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of internal and supplier produced products, materials, and tooling in all work centers.
- Provide assistance to production and supervisory personnel as well as occasional interaction with vendors and customers in their efforts to produce quality products.
- Utilize inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, bond meter, etc.).
- Perform inspection of raw materials, components, subassemblies, and final product to ensure compliance to technical specifications, blueprint, and Purchase Order requirements.
- Document compliance with customer and/or regulatory procedures and quality plans.
- Review paperwork to ensure completion and accuracy of all documents including routers, flow card, First Articles, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent education, training, and/or related work experience.
- 2+ years of experience as a Quality inspector in Aerospace, Automotive or Medical fields.
- Must be able to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction.
- Skilled use of basic hand tools and measuring devices (calipers, etc.)
- Familiar with mechanical and optical measuring devices such as CMM, optical comparator.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and process sheet interpretation
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills (i.e., may have to do conversions to decimals)
- Proficiency in non-destructive inspection techniques, ability to perform visual inspections, and understanding of engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T).
- Strong Analytical skills to analyze process data and identify quality issues, along with the ability to document findings and prepare reports. Understanding of FAI’s (AS9102) and how to complete them.
- Familiarity with quality testing machines such as Optical measuring systems, profilometers, drop and Hite gauges, calipers and micrometers, CMM certifications are a plus.
- Restrictions are limited only by individual’s inability to perform essential job duties and where an unsafe condition would result for the individual or surrounding employees.
