They lead with organizational expertise and empathy, fostering a collaborative, non‑stuffy environment while empowering paralegals, legal assistants, and clients to achieve meaningful outcomes in alignment with our people‑first philosophy.
- Supervise and mentor paralegals and legal assistants handling Medicaid‑related elder law cases, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring high‑quality work product.
- Coordinate case workflows, ensuring alignment with client goals, attorney strategies, and Florida Medicaid and elder law regulations.
- Maintain client relationships by providing transparent updates, addressing inquiries, and handling sensitive matters with empathy, such as health crises or financial concerns.
- Monitor case deadlines and deliverables to ensure timely completion of Medicaid planning and eligibility services.
- Prepare and review Medicaid‑related documents, including applications, asset transfer agreements, trusts, and financial affidavits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Florida Medicaid regulations.
- Assist attorneys with legal research to support Medicaid planning strategies and stay current on developments in Florida Medicaid and elder law.
- Organize and maintain client files, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility for attorneys and team members.
- Collaborate with attorneys and other departments (e.g., estate planning, probate) to provide integrated support for complex client needs, such as long‑term care planning.
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a paralegal in elder law, Medicaid planning, or a related legal field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- In‑depth knowledge of Medicaid eligibility, asset protection, long‑term care planning, and Florida Medicaid and elder law regulations.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor a team of paralegals and legal assistants in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong drafting and reviewing skills for Medicaid‑related documents, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client, attorney, and team interactions.
- Leadership skills to guide and motivate a team while fostering a collaborative, supportive culture.

Must speak English. Must have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, ability to pay attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Physical Requirements- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk (6 to 8 hours a day).
- Utilizing a computer for extended periods at a time.
- Occasional lifting of files or materials up to 20 lbs.
- This role starts at a salary of $70,000 per year.
- PTO and sick days after 90 days.
