As a
Marina Dock Attendant
, you will be responsible for assisting with the safe docking and undocking of vessels, monitoring dock conditions, and ensuring boats are securely tied and connections are safe. You will also provide courteous guest service to marina tenants and guests and assist with requests.

Essential Functions
  • Professionally assist arriving and departing marina tenants and guests with docking and undocking vessels, including line handling, fender placement, and safe passenger movements.
  • Monitor docks and slips, checking vessel tie‑ups, power connections, and general dock safety.
  • Provide customer service to boat owners and guests, offering directions, fuel assistance, and basic information about marina services.
  • Ensure the marina slips and surrounding areas remain clean and well maintained.
  • Respond to minor on‑water or dockside issues (e.g., loose lines, minor spills) and promptly notify management of hazards or incidents.
  • Support marina office operations by relaying information, taking simple requests from tenants/guests, and coordinating with other staff.
  • Adhere to all marina safety rules, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures, including assisting in drills as needed.
  • Lift, move, and secure equipment, supplies, and small marine parts as required to support daily operations.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, daily functions, and be able to assist tenants/guests with directions and questions, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with co‑workers and other departments to support overall hotel operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow all hotel policies, standard operating procedures, service standards, and emergency and safety procedures.
  • Perform additional assigned duties as needed, adhering to attendance, reliability, and constantly striving to improve service standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, and safety and security procedures.
  • Perform all additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Abilities
  • Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.
  • Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently.
  • Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • General knowledge of the city where the hotel is located and its attractions.
  • Extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services and facilities.
  • Strong team player, able to partner with management and other employees in a professional manner.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds frequently to assist guests.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests in a normal in‑person and phone conversation.
  • Ability to bend and twist, push, and pull, stoop, and kneel.
  • Ascend and descend a ladder.

High School or better.

Experience

Required:

1 year in public guest/customer service position.

Preferred:
Hotel experience.
