Credentialing Specialist

Summary:

Responsible for the data intake and collection from primary source and other resources for practitioner applications in the Bay Care System. Establish and maintain electronic credential files for assigned practitioners and complete the data gathering process within established guidelines for turnaround time, accuracy, and in accordance with external requirements (accreditation, federal, and state).

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Experience includes 1 year healthcare practitioner credentialing environment (physicians, mid-levels) or 3 years processing healthcare practitioners for appointment/reappointment, utilizing credentialing software and electronic primary source verification preferred.

Education:

• HS Graduate or Equivalent GED (Essential)
• Associates Degree (Nonessential)

Credentials:

• Cer Provider Credentialing Spec (Nonessential)
• Preferred - CPCS (Credentialing)

Experience:

• Reference Other Information in Summary (Essential)

Work Schedule:

Full Time, Exempt:
No, 7:30AM - 4:00PM, Shift 1 (Days), with no weekend work or on-call requirements. This position will be working remotely always.
