We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing to join our team at Providence Home Care of Florida. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the clinical services to homebound patients in their place of residence in accordance with attending physician orders and plans of care. The Director of Nursing will oversee skilled nursing and other therapeutic services provided by our agency.
QUALIFICATIONS- Registered Nurse (RN) who has graduated from an accredited school of nursing and is currently licensed to practice in Florida.
- Three to five years of experience in health care/home care, preferred.
- Two years of experience in a supervisory position as a Registered Nurse, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical record documentation requirements.
- Ability to supervise, guide and develop the skills and performance of clinical personnel.
- Ability to assist in evaluating personnel per Agency policy.
- Knowledge of OASIS, 485 and ICD-10 coding guidelines.
- Proficiency in Computers, Microsoft, EMR, and Technology is preferred.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for clinical services, including nursing, therapy, and home health aide services.
- Manage and supervise clinical staff, including performance evaluations, training, and mentoring.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
- Participates in developing standards which ensure safe and therapeutically effective service to patients and families. Has joint responsibility with the Administrator for seeing that standards are met.
- Consults with the Administrator to determine a staffing pattern which will accomplish stated objectives and promote an optimal level of utilization of health personnel.
- Participates in planning for the orientation of new employees.
- Serves as a role model for all colleagues by setting an example of high standards in dress, conduct, cooperation, and job performance.
- Investigates and reports any problem relating to patient care or conditions which might harm the patient and/or employee well-being.
- Assures that patients’ plans of care are developed, implemented, and updated.
