Director of Nursing

Welcome to The Grove come Home. We’re looking for a dynamic and personable Director of Nursing to carry out the company’s Mission and Core Values. The Grove at Countryside is operated by Starling, based out of Jacksonville, FL. Starling is an owner operator of multiple properties within the Southeast Region. The professional selected for this dynamic role will manage all care aspects of this 24‑hour, 7 day a week assisted living community, in order to ensure resident and family satisfaction, as well as regulatory compliance.

They will work closely with Executive Director, Starlings COO, and Regional team, to develop and execute initiatives to consistently deliver the Mission, company quality standards, and Core Values of the organization.

Responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well being of the residents within the community.

The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Ensures that community follows all federal, state, local laws and regulations as it pertains to clinical care.
• Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting occurrence trends, and if necessary, develop/implement improvement plans.
• Partners with Executive Director and other team members to analyze and maintain all resident and team member health safety.
• Partners with pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
• Responsible for clinical expertise of licensed nurses.
• Assists with educational presentations as assigned by administrator.
• Identifies ongoing needs and services of residents through the evaluation/ Service Plan process including documentation for residents with a change in health care status.
• Responsible for overseeing the completion of the monthly updates and reporting any pertinent changes to the responsible party.
• Partners with other department coordinators to identify, review, and discuss potential change in service/medication levels if applicable.
• Ensures the resident’s service plan is updated as indicated by state regulations.
• Participates in community awareness activities and community relations.
• Maintains communications with resident’s family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns.
• Informs the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs, if applicable.
• Ensures adequate clinical supplies are available.
• Participates in a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Maintains current state license as a Licensed Professional Nurse or a Professional Registered Nurse per state regulations.
• Must demonstrate competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow up and triage.
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Experience in assisted living, home health or long term care industries.
• Two (2) years experience as a Licensed Nurse.
• One (1) year nursing management experience.
• Point Click Care Proficient

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Quarterly Bonus offered in addition.
