iamoxxi. (pronounced “I Am Moxie”) is a gender-neutral salon & spa coming to Clearwater in early 2025. The gender-neutral nature of the salon & spa caters to women & men from all backgrounds, allowing our team of service providers to provide an exceptional experience and accommodate the various needs of our clients.

The Role and Opportunity: Weare seeking Barbers specializing in a variety of services, including haircuts,beard grooming, shaving and coloring services to join our growing team who will perform each service in a safe and sanitary environment in compliance with our service protocols. While not required, our ideal candidate may also have experience with or an interest in more than one barbering service offering. Our Barbers will receive hourly base pay plus commission for services performed andretail sales.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a thorough consultation with each clientbefore every service to analyze the condition of their hair and skin, and to understand their preferences and desired outcomes
• Perform a variety of services for a diverse mixof clientele with various hair types and textures, including traditional andmodern haircuts, beard grooming and shaving services using clippers, scissorsand straight razors, and hair and beard coloring services as well
• Wash and towel dry client’s hair and applybackbar products as necessary
• Blow dry and style client’s hair to theirpreference after each haircut or hair styling service, as applicable
• Utilize salon tools and equipment, such as clippers,scissors, straight razors, shampoo bowls, dryers, steamers and color processors
• Clean and sanitize tools, equipment and workstations to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
• Educate each client and provide recommendations on how to properly care for and style their new haircut, beard grooming, shaveor color service at home based on their hair type and lifestyle, and suggest suitableproducts for home aftercare as necessary
• Engage with clients as a subject matter expertin your field while having a thorough understanding of all related products
• Attend required trainings and meetings with afocus on compliance of policies and procedures to ensure the salon is operating in a safe and sanitary environment
• Comply with and enforce salon policies andstandard operating procedures
• Review processes and procedures to identify areas of improvement throughout the salon on an ongoing basis
• Participate in the daily morning and closingline-up meetings
• Review and update client records,includinginserting proper notes in client records for future tracking
• Meet performance metrics and review results withthe Salon Director to ensure career growth and development
• Collaborate with peers and develop internal and external cross functional partnerships with other service providers, vendors,Experience Coordinators and the Salon Director

Desired

Requirements and Skills:

• Previous experience as a Barber or recent beautyor cosmetology school graduate
• Have a Barber or Cosmetologist cosmetology license issued by the state of Florida that is active and in good standing
• Experience and the desire to work in a customer service focused role
• Familiarity with best practices for safety andsanitary protocols in a salon & spa environment
• Experience with Vagaro or similar salon softwareis a plus
• Ability to interact collaboratively and buildcross functional relationships internally and with a customer base
• Experience performing in a fast-paced environment
