Title:
- GOVERNMENT ANALYST II
The incumbent may reside anywhere in the State of Florida and may be required to travel to local field offices and/or agency headquarters in Tallahassee.
Field Offices:
Tallahassee, Alachua, Jacksonville, Clearwater, Orlando, Ft. Myers, Delray Beach, Miami.
- Independent management consultant statewide reporting to the Manager of the Survey & Certification Support Branch.
- Oversight, instructions and development of Quality Assurance within the Survey Program.
- Evaluation of Field Office Staff for Survey completion and on‑site observation of Survey staff.
- Consultative support to Survey staff and providers regarding dietary issues consistent with Florida requirements and federal regulations.
- Review of survey statement of deficiencies for Discharge and Harm Deficiencies prior to forwarding to CMS.
- Support to complete mandated workload, including conducting surveys in eligible program types assigned.
- Training faculty in cooperation with the Surveyor Training Program and participation in training events statewide.
- Review of documents and reports indicating a need for training activity or potential problems.
- Assist in development of job aids for Survey staff related to the program.
- Evaluation and monitoring of State Performance Standards assigned.
- Perform Quality Assurance Complaint reviews requested by Field Offices.
- Serve as Informal Dispute Review (IDR) panelist and Independent Informal Dispute Resolution (IIDR) panelist for nursing homes and other eligible program types.
- Serve as statewide Immediate Jeopardy Q‑Tool/Class I Tool Reviewer for nursing homes and other eligible programs.
- Represent AHCA in meetings, trainings, workshops, and interagency teams/committees requiring collaboration outside the Agency.
- Update Aspen/iQIES regulations and interpretive guidelines for nursing homes and other eligible programs.
- Represent the Agency at meetings within and outside the agency, develop and conduct training based on monitoring results of field office workload outcomes.
- Perform project‑based work including planning and coordination of surveyor training.
- Assist with training requests and develop additional training as required.
- Travel as necessary, including outside the Agency, during disasters and emergencies.
- Four (4) years of professional experience surveying long‑term care facilities is required.
