Responsibilities / What You’ll Do- Month-End Leadership:
Direct the closing cycle, managing accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations with high accuracy. - Cash Management:
Oversee liquidity, bank reconciliations, and intercompany loans while forecasting cash needs. - Financial Analysis:
Convert data into actionable reports using trend, ratio, and variance analysis to advise leadership. - Process Improvement:
Identify automation opportunities and implement accounting controls to streamline workflows. - Compliance Oversight:
Ensure strict adherence to GAAP standards and refine entry procedures to resolve discrepancies. - Profitability Modeling:
Develop pro forma financials for contracts to optimize pricing and bottom-line results. - Audit Support:
Verify transactions through internal audits of contracts and prepare necessary tax and regulatory filings. - Strategic Advisory:
Provide expert recommendations on asset management, expense categorization, and reserve establishment.
- Experience:
4+ years of accounting experience, specifically with GAAP standards. - Month-End Mastery: 3–5 years of proven success managing complex month-end closures.
- Education:
Bachelor of Science in Accounting required. - Software
Skills:
Advanced Excel skills required;
Quick Books experience preferred. - Preferred Credentials: CPA designation or Construction accounting experience (Job Costing) is a plus.
- Leadership:
Prior supervisory or management experience is an advantage. - Communication:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain financial data to stakeholders.
