We have an exciting opportunity to join our Water division as a Hydraulic Modeling Group Leader working remotely in Gainesville, FL. If you want to work at a company that will help you become the best you can be, we’re glad you found McKim & Creed.
Your Day Will Include- Growing and managing a hydraulic modeling and planning group.
- Managing client meetings and presentations.
- Mentor/supervise staff and work as part of a project team.
- Develop new business related to modeling and master planning.
- Preparing responses to RFQs, RFPs or other solicitations for related project work.
- Involvement in industry groups as a technical leader on modeling and presenting technical papers at pertinent conferences and associations.
- Occasional travel between M&C offices to support growth and project needs.
- BS in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering with FL PE registration or ability to quickly acquire through reciprocity.
- Master's degree preferred but not required.
- 15 years of experience in water and wastewater hydraulic modeling required.
- Knowledge of GIS and demonstrated experience in GIS integration for model development.
- Strong computer skills and experience with modeling programs.
- Knowledge of CFD modeling is preferred.
- Computer programming knowledge is not required but is favorable.
- Have proficient knowledge of pump station and pipeline design including water and wastewater systems and good understanding of current rules and regulations associated with utility design elements.
- A valid Driver’s License and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
- Very good presentation, technical writing, and public speaking.
- An excellent grasp of the water/wastewater field along with leadership, team building and communication abilities.
- Asset management experience a plus.
