Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Utility Operations Coordinator with our large power and utilities client in Clearwater, FL. This is a 3-year contract with a potential for extension.
Pay$25.00 - $30.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
This is a fully remote opportunity; however, the manager would prefer if the worker is located in Florida or the Carolinas.
DescriptionOutdoor Lighting Standards team is seeking an individual with comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of client’s customer service system, SAP, ARGUS, Google Earth/Mapping, Excel, and Word. In addition, the individual should be able to take directions and be flexible and adaptable to changing tasks. The individual should be able to articulate complex research into clear status updates.
Duties PRE-AUDIT RESEARCH- Review lighting in DISCONNECTED status by premise/installation in SAP (spreadsheet)
- Look in ARGUS/Google to determine if light(s) still in field
- Research SAP to determine if lights already billing another account/customer
- Look for any recent orders (service orders, work orders) that may have reconnected, disconnected, upgraded or removed the light(s)
- Update status in SAP for any lighting no longer in field or already billing (no field check required)
- Based on information provided by field audit, look for any active billing/accounts at that address in SAP
- Update spreadsheet to provide potential billing information
- Any lights that cannot be billed, mark for disconnection on spreadsheet
- Once all research is done for lights ON in field, mail postcards to potential customers utilizing spreadsheet via communications to marketing department.
- Provide technical expertise to solve problems and leadership skills to provide oversight and direction of work in a specific area of expertise, with some supervision.
- Workers are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence.
- Provides technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise.
- Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities.
- Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches.
- Conducts engineering and related studies.
- Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance.
- Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
- Maintains accurate records and files.
- Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
- Either a graduate from a college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (or equivalent), or 0 to 2 years of experience and Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (or equivalent).
- Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in the utility industry.
- Understanding of basic principles of project management.
