Quality Engineering, Research Scientist
R&D Technician | Clearwater, FL Contract - 1 + year (Potential for extension or Permanent) Pay - $22-24/HR
Working as a lab technician within the Surgical R&D team, the main objective of this role will be to support development activities for new IOL surgical products and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities- Supports processing IOLs that encompass all IOL manufacturing process steps
- Executes engineering studies and protocols for IOL process development activities maintaining precise records and traceability
- Provides high level technical support for engineers, scientists, or other professional technical personnel within the R&D department
- Independently works on segments of development projects, conducts tests or experiments, evaluates and records data
- Record test data, maintain logbooks, and update databases
- Ensure product quality and perform all tasks in accordance with established SOPs, GMPs and Divisional Specifications.
- Participates in the design of new systems, processes, product or equipment
- Assume leadership responsibilities organizing equipment and lenses for evaluation, checking completeness of work and organizing work assignments
- Communicate results status to team and management via spreadsheets and memos
- 1+ years of experience in a regulated medical device environment
