Job SummaryProject Management/Planning/Coordinating activities typically in the context of a production or services project to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
Roles and Responsibilities- All contract performance related activities, typically tied to a customer site. Act as interface between the customer and the project team, managing the transfer of information and requests. Assure timely resolution of issues, keep the customer advised of progress, negotiate changes and variations, and provide solutions to arising issues. Responsible for adherence to contract service, operations, and performance specifications, as well as financial and technical metrics specific to contract.
Perform proposal negotiation and contract administration functions on assigned proposals/contracts with minimal supervision. - Provide support to manager and senior contracts personnel on assigned contracts. Function as the liaison for the customer on contract matters.
- Act as a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent. Include direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilize in‑depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.
- Have knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; be aware of competition and factors that differentiate the business in the market.
- Use judgment to propose solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Use technical experience and analytical thinking, consulting multiple internal and limited external sources to arrive at decisions.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, lead small low‑risk projects, explain information, develop skills to bring team members to consensus, and convey performance expectations while handling sensitive issues.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 4 years of experience in program management.
- Aerospace/avionics experience strongly preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
