Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking a Lower School Art Teacher for for the school year at an independent school in Clearwater, FL.

• Teach art courses for students in grades 3-5.
• Design and implement art curriculum aligned with school mission.
• Introduce students to art tools and techniques through hands on instruction.
• Create lessons that build an excitement for art.
• Use a variety of different materials and art styles to diversify student experiences in art making.
• Evaluate each student’s progress in their knowledge and skills.
• Communicate with parents to discuss the individual student’s progress..
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, and professional development sessions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Master's degree preferred in an art field.
• Previous K-12 teaching experience required.
• Passion for visual art, art history, and the fine arts.
• Experience coaching or supervising extra-curricular activities.
• Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Work Authorization required.
