Job Summary

We are seeking a welcoming, organized, and proactive Receptionist to join our team! As the receptionist/concierge for our busy salon, you will be the first point of contact for our guests. As the welcoming face of the salon, you will greet customers as they arrive, book appointments, and answer phone calls, as well as attend to the needs of customers throughout their salon visits.

The ideal candidate has a cheerful disposition, excellent communication, computer skills, and is capable of multitasking.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests with genuine warmth as they arrive at the salon offering them beverage options
  • Manage front desk operations: check ins/outs, schedule appointments, confirmations and follow up.
  • Assist with administrative tasks: answering calls/emails, updating client records.
  • Handle point-of-sale transactions (cash, credit), issue receipts, and assist with retail product sales.
  • Maintain a neat, well-stocked reception area—tidying brochures, displays, towels, and inventory.
  • Support salon marketing efforts: share info about services, promotions, and gift cards; collect customer feedback.
  • Provide general customer service and attend to the needs of customers throughout their services
Qualifications
  • Two or more years of customer service experience is preferred
  • Previous experience as a receptionist is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Familiar with computers and scheduling software
  • Familiar with Excel/Microsoft Word
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Sales background
