Full-Time Industry: Commercial & Industrial Construction Position Summary The Construction Safety Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring all project activities comply with federal, state, and local safety regulations. This role develops, implements, and enforces safety programs that protect employees, subcontractors, clients, and the public from hazards on construction job sites. The Safety Compliance Officer conducts inspections, evaluates risks, provides safety training, investigates incidents, and partners closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and proactive safety culture across all operations.

Pay Range
$28-$35 per hour
Key Responsibilities- Monitor job sites to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain site‑specific safety plans, procedures, and documentation.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard assessments, and jobsite audits.
- Identify risks, unsafe conditions, and non‑compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead incident and near‑miss investigations; prepare detailed reports with root-cause analysis.
- Maintain accurate and organized safety records, reports, logs, and compliance files.
- Deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, onboarding sessions, and emergency response drills.
- Ensure correct and consistent use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Serve as the primary onsite contact for regulatory inspections, audits, and safety enforcement agencies.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors, and HR to promote a strong safety-first culture.
- Safety certifications preferred:
OSHA 30, OSHA 10, CHST, CSP
, or related credentials. - Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites.
- Minimum 2+ years of construction safety experience required.
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards, hazard identification, and risk management.
- Experience conducting jobsite safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and local safety requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, hazard-recognition, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, training, and presentation abilities.
- High attention to detail with strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and adapt to changing priorities.
- Leadership abilities with strong conflict‑resolution and workforce engagement skills.
