ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I -
This is secretarial work performing a variety of delegated administrative tasks in support of the Courts Administrator’s Central Office. Duties include answering multiple incoming phone lines and routing calls, greeting people entering the office, and performing administrative tasks assigned by the Court Operations Manager. Work requires computer skills with a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications. Data entry and working with other automated office equipment are required.
Working relationships are established with court personnel, other county employees, the judiciary, and the general public. The purpose of these contacts is to receive and convey detailed information.
Assignments are made orally or in writing, and work is reviewed through observation of results obtained, conferences, and periodic reports or evaluations. Work is performed under the supervision of the Court Operations Manager.
Education, Experience, Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations- Graduation from an accredited university with a bachelor’s degree and one year of administrative experience involving records management, customer service, and data entry; or an equivalent of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to multitask.
- Ability to answer and route multiple incoming calls professionally.
- Knowledge of office and secretarial procedures.
- Ability to receive and convey detailed information clearly and accurately.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word Applications.
