Senior Accountant

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team!

• Manage month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Perform balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for management review.
• Analyze financial data and assist with the preparation of internal and external reports.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Support external audits and provide requested documentation.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a mid-market size company.
• Experience working in public accounting.
• Strong experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Experience working in a large privately held company or public accounting firm is a plus.
• Familiarity with financial reporting, accounting principles (GAAP), and regulatory compliance.
• Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in formulas and pivot tables.
• ERP experience is preferred (Net Suite, SAP, or similar systems).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
