A healthcare facility in Northern California is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Clearlake, CA. This role involves providing post-anesthesia care for surgical patients while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe recovery and optimal patient outcomes.
This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong post-operative monitoring and recovery experience who thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Schedule:
Monday – Thursday
Shift: Day shift | 4 x 10-hour shifts
Hours:
7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
On-Call Requirement:
Every third weekend
Setting: PACU / Surgical Services
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs, airway status, and overall recovery from anesthesia
- Identify complications and intervene appropriately using clinical judgment
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and recovery expectations
- Document patient care accurately and in accordance with facility policies
- Assist with discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 3 years of PACU or acute care experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
