Sr. Registered Dietitian, Full Time, Days, Hybrid

We’re offering a $10,000 hiring incentive and a $5,000 relocation bonus for the Sr. Registered Dietitian position at Adventist Health Clear Lake, located in beautiful Northern California. Our 25‑bed critical access hospital provides primary and specialty care services throughout Lake County. The area is known for Clear Lake, local vineyards, mountains, and easy access to the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento Valley and the Pacific Coast.

Job Summary

Assesses the nutritional status of patients, translates physician‑ordered diets, and develops individualized care plans. Provides nutritional care for inpatients and outpatients, and maintains active communication with patients, physicians, nurses, and other dietitians. Delivers clinical care efficiently using advanced technical, organizational and critical‑thinking skills.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (some certifications require a Bachelor’s):
    Required
  • Master's Degree:
    Required if eligibility for examination began on or after 1/1/24
  • Three years of technical experience:
    Preferred
  • Leadership experience:
    Preferred
  • Dietetic internship or equivalent:
    Required
Licenses/Certifications
  • Registered Dietitian (RD):
    Required
  • Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership:
    Preferred
Essential Functions
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to create and document a nutritional plan based on patient assessments.
  • Identify potential problems, institute corrective actions, and tailor care plans to meet individual patient needs.
  • Communicate verbally, in writing and via database with the healthcare team to ensure awareness of nutritional needs.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide counseling and nutrition health teaching to patients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
