Operations Specialist - Pocket Knives

The Company

Knafs creates fun knives for adventures big and small. We're family owned and operated, and our vision is to create opportunities. We’re a Crew of 10 people, and we’re launching this rocket ship to glory. There's a healthy dose of "let's figure this thing out together" in our business that requires problem-solving and cerebral engagement. We import knives, manufacture knives, and dream about knives.

We sell our products on , Amazon, Whatnot, and to 70-ish wholesale dealers worldwide. We operate on the core values of Dependable, Scrappy, Level Up, Kind, and Humble.

The Operations Specialist plays a vital role in keeping our warehouse running smoothly, our customers happy, and our operations efficient. This position works closely with the Operations Manager to support daily operations including warehouse management, purchasing replenishment, fulfillment, receiving, and quality control.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys solving problems, values accuracy, and takes pride in keeping operations efficient and organized.

Operations & Warehouse Support

• Assist the Operations Manager with day-to-day warehouse operations, process optimization, and continuous quality improvement.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, problem-solve in real time, and proactively identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Warehouse Management

• Oversee physical storage and organization of inventory.
• Maintain the Kanban inventory system - this is our replenishment system to keep items in stock while running lean
• Support inventory organization, layout planning, and space optimization.

Reordering & Purchasing

• Assist with creating purchase orders (POs), securing approvals, placing orders, and troubleshooting supplier issues.
• Track purchase orders from placement through delivery, ensuring accurate records of order and arrival dates.
• Help maintain adequate inventory levels to support sales and fulfillment needs.

Fulfillment and Receiving

• Pick, pack and ship orders with accuracy and efficiency
• Manage all inbound shipments by counting and verifying stock, while doing regular cycle counts to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.
• Perform quality control on pocket knives and other products to maintain high standards and sell the customer the best product possible.

Qualification and

Skills:

• Experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, inventory management, or logistics.
• Detail-oriented:

• Interest in pocket knives and the mechanics of the tool
• Familiarity with inventory systems, Kanban systems, or warehouse management software.
• Experience with order fulfillment, shipping platforms, or Amazon Seller Central.
• Experience operating light production equipment (laser engravers, 3D printers, etc.).
