Security Management Specialist (Finance)
Qualis LLC is seeking a Security Management Specialist to provide support to our government customer at Hill AFB, UT. This role is responsible for the comprehensive management and enforcement of security programs in alignment with DoD, USAF, and MAJCOM directives. This role will oversee the complete lifecycle of information management, including the classification, safeguarding, and accountability of sensitive and classified materials.
The selected candidate will be involved in administering personnel and physical security, managing access control, processing clearances, and conducting risk assessments. The role is also tasked with proactively strengthening the organization's security posture through developing and delivering awareness training, leading incident response and investigations and ensuring continuous compliance through audits and system maintenance.
- Implement, enforce, and update DoD, USAF, MAJCOM, and Center security policies and procedures, including local SOPs, to effectively apply security regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security plans and continuous monitoring programs.
- Review, process, classify, declassify, and safeguard inbound/outbound documents and data (up to Top Secret), ensuring proper marking, handling, and destruction.
- Maintain a comprehensive document accountability system, perform inventories, process transmittal receipts, and manage the secure transfer/storage of electronic data, ensuring media sanitization.
- Understand, enforce, and apply Information Security and Operations Security (OPSEC) principles.
- Manage and administer facility access control systems, including badges, visitor escorts, and visit requests, while verifying clearances and need-to-know.
- Maintain personnel security files, assist with clearance processing and reinvestigations, monitor clearance status, and facilitate SAP Nomination Questionnaires.
- Recognize, report, and participate in the organization's insider threat program.
- Implement, monitor, and maintain physical security measures, including alarms and surveillance equipment.
- Identify, assess, analyze, and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Respond to security incidents, conduct preliminary investigations, assist with corrective actions, and participate in damage assessments.
- Support internal and external security inspections and audits, assist with responses, and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Participate in emergency response drills and implement emergency procedures.
- Develop and deliver impactful security awareness training, provide refresher training, and create awareness materials.
- Communicate security information clearly and effectively.
- Collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Utilize, administer, and troubleshoot various security systems and software, including access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance.
- Adapt to evolving security requirements and technologies.
- Must have a bachelor's degree.
- 3-10 years of related security experience.
- Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance.
- Knowledge of Security Regulations and Policies:
Deep understanding of DoD, USAF, and other relevant security regulations, policies, and procedures. - Classification Management:
Ability to properly classify, declassify, and safeguard information according to established guidelines. - Document Control:
Expertise in managing and tracking classified documents, including maintaining accountability systems. - Access Control:
Proficiency in managing access control systems, verifying clearances, and processing visit requests. - Personnel Security:
Skill in maintaining personnel security files and assisting with clearance processing. - Security Awareness Training:
Ability to develop and deliver effective security awareness training programs. - Incident Response:
Skill in responding to security incidents, conducting investigations, and implementing corrective actions. - Risk Management:
Ability to identify and assess security risks and develop mitigation strategies. - Physical Security:
