The Company
Knafs creates fun knives for adventures big and small. We're family owned and operated, and our vision is to create opportunities. We’re a Crew of 10 people, and we’re launching this rocket ship to glory. There's a healthy dose of "let's figure this thing out together" in our business that requires problem‑solving and cerebral engagement. We import knives, manufacture knives, and dream about knives.
We sell our products on , Amazon, Whatnot, and to 70-ish wholesale dealers worldwide. We operate on the core values of Dependable, Scrappy, Level Up, Kind, and Humble.
The Fulfillment Specialist at Knafs is one of our boots‑on‑the‑ground, get ‘er done people. We have hundreds of tasks that need doing, and this person is our executor to make it happen. This could be anything from shipping a hundred orders to counting a thousand new products.
This is an on‑site position, part time at 20‑30 hours per week Monday - Friday (Not hybrid or remote. There’s some flexibility in daily start and end time.)
We need someone who loves precision and speed. We have a lot to do, but we also need it done right.
Responsibilities- Shipping: Pick, pack, and ship customer orders with precision, speed, and a dash of healthy humor. Sometimes we write goofy notes on customer orders. Precision is always a plus.
- Customization: Operate laser engraver, assemble custom products, tie lanyards, customize scales and t-shirts in a heat press.
- Receiving: Receive incoming shipments to the Knafs warehouse. This includes product shipments, delivery of materials, and other inbound shipments to be received. You verify, count, and raise any issues.
- Assembly: Prepare products for sale. Slap on barcodes, kitting, stamp leather, stuff poly bags-- we do it all.
- Quality Control: Check our pocket knives and other products to make sure they pass inspection; a critical eye for detail is incredibly important. You’ll handle hundreds of knives, so safety is a must. If you don’t love sharp and pointies, this job probably isn’t for you.
- Cycle Count: We cycle count all of our inventory. This ensures that we have an accurate representation of the inventory that we have and do not oversell to our customers.
- Focus: there will be hours of repetitive work. And there will also be days when you’re doing something new every 30 minutes. Both require a mind that is keen and attentive.
- Counting: we need solid math skillz. Nothing too crazy, but we do a TON of hard counting products, and inventory errors mustn’t happen.
- Computers: we manage and ship our orders via Shopify and Shipstation. You need some computer savvy.
- Self‑management: we expect this person to receive assignments, then use their time wisely to make magic happen without constant supervision.
- Problem Solving: most of our messes don’t come with an instruction manual. You must be able to look critically at the mess and decide if you use a paper towel, mop, or plumber to clean it up. We haven’t had to call a plumber yet, but there is no shame in asking for help.
- Education: high school diploma required. Secondary schooling is great. College students are solid. Degrees from the school of hard knocks are also perfectly acceptable.
- Interest in pocket knives and the mechanics of the tool
- Warehouse Experience
- Shopify Experience
- Solid Spotify playlists
- Tasty food truck recommendations
We run on a healthy handful of core values:
- Dependable - We do it right
- Level Up - Continuous improvement
- Scrappy - Solutions from basic tools and elbow grease
- Kind - Make their day
- Humble - Willing to listen, learn, and teach
