- Collaborate within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop and implement process improvements as well as support site initiatives.
- Work closely with manufacturing personnel in the highly automated production of composite aerospace components.
- Author, modify, and audit shop floor electronic work instructions (EWIs). Perform root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities to permanently eliminate defects.
- Troubleshoot production/equipment/program/tooling issues and implement improvements and solutions.
Associate Manufacturing Engineer Level 1:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) and 0 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Currently have active DoD clearance and able to maintain it.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) per company and business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field and 1 year of work experience in an engineering manufacturing environment role; OR Master’s in STEM field with 0 years of experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
- Currently have active DoD clearance and able to maintain it.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) per company and business needs.
- Active DoD Clearance.
- Experience using DMAIC problem solving system.
- Experience with composite manufacturing.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience working with/programming Fanuc or similar robots.
- Experience using NX or similar CAD software.
- Experience using Smart MES or similar.
- Demonstrated understanding of root cause / corrective action processes and techniques.
- Experience using RCCA tools such as Five Why, Pareto, fishbone, etc.
- Experience drafting, maintaining, and modifying work instructions and/or process specification.
Primary Level Salary Range: $59,900.00 - $89,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long‑Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
