Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college.
  • Experience with any combination of aircraft electronic / avionics systems, air‑to‑air weapons, air‑to‑ground weapons, sensors, communications, or Electronic Warfare (EW) integration test operations.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Software and hardware integration design experience.
  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power‑Point, Access, etc.).
Desired Skills
  • Technical bachelor's degree or a masters degree.
  • Extensive knowledge or experience with U.S. military aviation operations.
  • Knowledge of F‑16 aircraft avionics systems including Pilot Vehicle Interfaces (PVI), internal electronic bus structure, and subsystem integration operations.
  • Working knowledge of F‑16 specific aircraft sub‑systems, weapon systems and how they integrate with the on‑board computer processors.
  • Ability to effectively interface with civilian government, DoD, and industry representatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team as a Software Integration Requirements and Planning Engineer Staff embedded within the Ogden Air Logistic Complex (Hill Air Force Base, Utah) software engineering group. The team is responsible for developing and designing F‑16 aircraft‑specific software for the aircraft Operational Flight Program (OFP) and/or subsystem flight computers.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on‑site technical support in the development of aircraft OFPs.
  • Develop subsystem and system‑level requirements, monitor software implementation, and coordinate processes with system test, flight test, and operational F‑16 units.
  • Interpret and decompose aircraft and weapons requirements to develop manual and automated tests.
  • Coordinate and communicate with software test team members to plan and execute tests across the development spectrum.
  • Document findings and results in accordance with established development and configuration management processes.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, possess at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance, and be able to obtain a government Secret Security clearance. The position is located at a facility requiring special access.

Pay and Benefits

National Pay Statement – annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is 113,900 – 200,905. For other states, the salary range reflects the candidate’s final work location. Benefits offered include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short‑Term Disability, Long‑Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

Premium Pay Statement – annual base salary range for this position in major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is 131,000 – 227,125. Benefits offered are the same as above.
