CVOR RN in Clear Lake, IA

A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with specialization in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) skills.

This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic surgical environment supporting cardiovascular procedures, providing critical patient care before, during, and after surgery.

Location:

Schedule:

• Mostly day shifts
• 8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Approximately 10-12 days of on-call duty per month
• On-call every third weekend

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to provide expert nursing care in the cardiovascular OR
• Prepare patients for surgery, monitor vital signs, and assist during procedures
• Manage post-operative care and ensure patient safety in the recovery phase
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
• Respond promptly and appropriately during on-call hours to support emergent cardiovascular cases

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure with CVOR experience
• Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail under pressure
• Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
