Security Officer - Hospital Access Control

As a Security Officer - Hospital Access Control in Clayton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in Healthcare and related industries.

This Part-Time role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will deter security incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Job Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures, at the healthcare location.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points to deter unauthorized access and/or entry to restricted areas.
• Verify credentials and identification of individuals entering the premises to support site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report irregularities.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, working with site personnel and first responders as appropriate.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports of observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by site procedures.

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Age requirements: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
