3rd Floor Medical / Surgical Unit
On our 24-bed unit you see a wide variety of diagnoses. You may see patients with chest pain, CHF, syncope, strokes, Diabetes, COPD, and any number of other med‑surgical type diagnoses. We also see some surgery patients. Excellent teamwork with a dedicated work family.
Patient ratios: 1 RN: 5‑6 Patients, on our day shift 3 Nursing Assistants and a Secretary and over nights we have 3 Nursing Assistants for support.

Summary:
Provides routine direct and indirect patient care in a hospital, clinic or home health care setting. All work performed is under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
Education Requirements:
- None required as long as all other position requirements are met.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Professional Experience Requirements:
- Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- Fluent in verbal and written English language and able to develop basic computer skills.
