The Design Engineer will apply principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate software and systems. This role involves analyzing user needs and creating solutions that meet those requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers for database management systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
  • Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required.
Required Skills

  • Problem‑solving ability and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic mentoring skills for providing support and constructive feedback.
  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed.
  • Familiarity with circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, and computer hardware/software.
  • Proficiency in computer development software across multiple platforms.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience.
  • Work closely with suppliers to develop hydraulic component solutions for work tools used in construction equipment.
  • Develop expertise in hydraulic components and assist in solving technical problems.
  • Typical tasks include interfacing with suppliers, developing new hydraulic systems, overseeing engineering drawings, researching new technologies, and promoting quality and continuous improvement.
